Summer outing to Stirling and Braco

Members and guests summer excursion is on 27th June firstly to Stirling for a tour of the city walls with Dr Murray Cook. These are the best preserved city walls in Scotland and were build to deter Henry V111 at the period know as the Rough Wooing.

Later we visit the graveyard of the 17th century ruined Old Kirk of Logie in Braco for a tour led by a member of the Logie Old Kirk Graveyard Group who maintain it. Among the interesting stones are two hogbacks.

Lastly we shall tour the Roman Fort of Ardvoch led by our president Jim Mearns.
